OpenFinance ni nini?+

OpenFinance is a member-owned savings and credit cooperative experience built around disciplined saving, responsible credit and convenient digital access. The public website helps people learn, apply and follow their membership journey.

Who can apply to join?+

Eligible individuals can start a membership application online. Final admission depends on OpenFinance’s approved by-laws, policies, verification requirements, applicable entrance/share requirements and formal approval.

Can I manage my account online?+

Yes. Approved members use system-sacco.valron.co.ke as the self-service portal. Internal staff and back-office operations remain on system-sacco.valron.co.ke.

Does an online application make me a member immediately?+

No. The online form starts the application process. Membership becomes active after review, verification, approval and completion of any applicable membership requirements.

Je, OpenFinance itatumia M-Pesa?+

The platform is prepared for Kenyan payment channels, including M-Pesa. The public site will only publish official payment instructions once OpenFinance’s approved payment channel and reconciliation process are configured.

How are loan limits decided?+

Eligibility may consider member standing, savings/deposits, affordability, existing obligations, guarantor or security requirements and the rules of the specific loan product. Website calculators are illustrations only.

How is my personal information protected?+

The application flow uses purpose-specific data collection, consent, access controls and secure server-side handling. OpenFinance’s privacy notice explains how website-submitted information is intended to be used.
